My life can be summed up pretty easily: daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, pet owner, cancer survivor, graduate, mathlete. However, pick any one of these things and you’ll find many endless moments behind that one word. I am a daughter (#4764 Filigree Stone Charm – December) born to my parents and a snowy December day. My dad rushed home from work to take my mom to the hospital just a few days before her own birthday. I am their firstborn and they have filled my life with love. I am a sister (#3186 Sister Rope Circle Charm) to a spunky lady four years my junior. I was so excited to be a big sister and when they brought her home I was disappointed that she didn’t do anything. She outgrew that of course, and now I would do anything for her. I can’t imagine my life without her. I am a friend (#2434 Friend Script Charm) to everyone…at least I try to be. My smile will be the first thing you notice about me and once we’re friends, we’re family. I am a wife (#0293 Wedding Rings Charm) to an amazing man. We’ve been together almost 20 years; married 16. We have been through thick and thin, good times and bad, and always make each other laugh. I am a mother (#3567 Mother Daughter Hearts Charm) to three beautiful daughters; a 13 year old and 12 year old twins. They are the lights of my life. Being their mother is my biggest blessing. I am a pet owner (#5664 Small Paw Print Charm) of two cats, two guinea pigs, and a dog. If I had more house, I’d have more pets. I am a cancer survivor (#3801 Cancer Awareness Ribbon) going on eight years! I was diagnosed with stage IV Hodgkin’s when I was 33 years old. It is and remains my deepest struggle. It haunts me endlessly yet makes me see life in a new, better way. I am a graduate (#0178 Female Graduate Head Charm) of Gateway Technical College. After cancer I decided to go back to school and I graduated with President’s Honors. I am a mathlete (#3922 Calculator Charm). No matter where I go in life, I always end up working with numbers. I have always loved math – taking a problem and figuring it out. There is so much buzz and satisfaction with balancing numbers. So that is me in a nutshell. Loving the life I have.
