The weather was freezing cold. Kids were laughing and playing in the snow, some people sat on park benches trying to keep warm by drinking hot cocoa and coffee. We struggled together as we tried to find our footing on the ice. Neither of us had been ice skating before.
As we held hands for support and slowly skated our way around the ice, we shared a great conversation about our childhood, work and family.
As the rink was about to close, the ice became more open; that is when the snow began fall. Softly landing on her cream colored winter hat that covered her beautiful brown hair. She looked up toward the sky to see the snow coming down and I reached in to give her a kiss on the cheek. We both looked at each other and smiled; then shared our first kiss. It was our first date that I will never forget.
